Jason Ellis spent his career in IT before he ever cleaned a house for money. His first job was at AccessUS, a small internet service provider, and from there he worked in technology at Bank of America, Mastercard and other large companies. At 50 he left corporate work to become an entrepreneur: he started a residential cleaning company in San Diego, then a second one in St. Louis, and today runs a software company that helps local business owners be found online. Home Pros Directory grew out of that work. Every listing is drawn from public business records and the company's own website or, when the site cannot be read, its public business listing, with historical captures kept separately from the page update date, and no business pays to be included.
Why this directory exists
Finding a house cleaner in Missouri means opening a dozen tabs and reading the same marketing copy. This directory puts every reviewed cleaning company on one page per city, with smaller towns grouped into the nearest city, and with what each one says on its own website or public listing about deep cleaning, recurring visits, move-outs, insurance and background checks, so a homeowner can compare before making a call.
Jason Ellis publishes it. He has run residential cleaning companies in St. Louis and San Diego and has read more cleaning websites than anyone should. No company paid to be here, and the ones that buy a placement are marked.
How listings are vetted
Open, reviewed Missouri businesses in the house cleaning category, pulled from public business records.
Each company's own website, or its public business listing when the site cannot be read, was read on the date shown; a listing claims only what that source states.
The directory contains 307 records in 28 Missouri cities and 26 smaller towns. This directory was compiled on 2026-10-22; that date is not a fresh check of each business.
Owners can request a listing correction for free. Ownership needs to be checked before an owner request changes the record. Paid placements are marked wherever they appear and are not endorsements.
